Sugar free oatmeal cookies / honey oatmeal cookies

A subtle honey flavor and an equally subtle honey aroma have the sugar free oatmeal cookies. They taste fluffy, soft and moderately sweet. With this recipe you can easily and quickly make the honey oatmeal cookies yourself. They are ideal for snacking, tea or Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 90 g oat flakes tender
  • 150 g honey
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 100 g butter room warm
  • 1 egg
  • 160 g flour
  • 3 g baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)

Instructions

  • Beat softened butter and honey for about 3 minutes until fluffy and creamy.
  • Add egg and beat until homogeneous.
  • Add sour cream and beat again briefly until homogeneous.
  • Stir oat flakes into the mixture.
  • Mix flour with baking soda and stir the mixture briefly into the oatmeal mixture to form a tough, sticky dough.
  • Using a tablespoon, place heaps of the dough a little apart from each other on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Moisten your fingers with water and shape the heaps into cookies by pressing them slightly flat.
  • Sprinkle the cookies with oat flakes and bake them in a preheated oven at 180 °C top and bottom heat for about 15 minutes.

Notes

  • Do not stir the dough too long, but only briefly until a homogeneous consistency is reached, so that the cookies taste soft and not rubbery after baking.
  • The cookies taste moderately sweet because the dough contains only honey and no sugar. If you like them sweeter, you can add sugar to the dough.
