  • 250 ml vodka
  • 130 g sugar
  • juice of 1/4 lemon freshly squeezed

Instructions

  • Cut strawberries into cubes, put them in a jam or preserving jar, sprinkle them with lemon juice and pour vodka over them. Close the jar, put it in a bright place at room temperature, for example on a window sill, and let it steep for 7 days.
  • Pour the strawberry mixture with alcohol through a straining cloth and collect the strawberry vodka in a bottle. Close the bottle and let it rest at room temperature. Put the strawberries from the straining cloth back into the jar, add sugar and stir. Close the jar and let it sit at room temperature in a bright place for 3 days, shaking the jar occasionally to dissolve the sugar and form strawberry syrup.
  • Now strain the strawberry syrup into the strawberry vodka in the bottle, stir it, close the bottle and let the strawberry liqueur steep at room temperature in a bright place for another 3 days.

Notes

  • Use good quality vodka, because the taste of the liqueur depends strongly on it.
